| Rob began his Musical career playing the title
role in Lionel Bart’s musical Oliver when
he was just 12, and has been heavily involved in
musical theatre both as a writer and performer ever
since.
He has performed all over the South Coast in musicals,
operas and concerts, playing parts as diverse as
Marcello: La Boheme, The American: Chess, Curly:
Oklahoma, Frederic: The Pirates of Penzance and
in as predigeous venues as London’s Royal
Albert Hall, The Savoy Theatre, The Royal Festival
Hall, touring with Hinge & Bracket and The Best
of Broadway. He is a member of the close-harmony
cabaret group First Night, who work extensively
around Rob’s home county of Sussex. He was
privileged to perform with First Night at a celebration
dinner honouring the late Sir Harry Secombe and
a memorial concert for the arts critic Jack Tinker.
Rob owns and runs a recording studio that he uses
to produce and arrange work for his own projects
as well as local (and sometimes, not so local) artists.
He has been writing music for 15 years, producing
his own album Resolution and co-writing and producing
three others. The Promised Land written with two
other writers was his first Stage Musical success
and recently the trio’s work of the brand
new musical Remember! Remember! has been showcased
in the Bridewell Theatre in London’s West
End. Rob won the Brighton Cares 2000 song contest,
having his song Forever performed in front of 5000
people and sung by a cast of over 200.
